The Best Daily Routine for Lacrosse Players in 2024

It’s crazy to think that the 2024 season is almost done, and the postseason is approaching. Right now, your focus should be building the habits and routines you need to consistently be at your best during this home stretch.

Here are 5 factors to help you build the perfect daily routine

  1. Wake Up Time: One of the best things you can do for your body is wake up at the same time every day. We all know it feels better when we’re consistent, instead of waking up super early one day and sleeping in the next.

  2. Hydration: Studies show your work capacity can decrease by up to 30% if you’re dehydrated. If you don’t have a refillable water bottle you can carry with you, get one ASAP.

  3. School: I know things can get busy around finals weeks. I’m not here to tell you how to study, but I do know the best lacrosse players take care of what they need to do in the classroom!

  4. Stickwork: Your goal should be to do at least 5-10 minutes of stickwork every day outside of practice. It could be as simple as cradling the ball in your house, or going out to do wallball. Your stick should feel like an extension part of your body.

  5. Night Time Routine: What you do before you go to bed will completely impact your next day. Scrolling TikTok for 5 hours (unless you’re watching Apex videos, haha) is not a recipe for success. Create a simple routine you do before bed so you’re always feeling ready for tomorrow.

The 5’6 defender from Canada has the all tools to be an elite defender at the next level.

She’s gritty and super versatile all over the field - she can dominate on the wings of draws or take it down the field as a threat in transition

Overall, I’m a huge fan of Sophie’s game and excited to see what this summer looks like for the Hill Academy sophomore.

By the way, Sophie was nominated via email! So please email me [email protected] with your highlight reel and a writeup with stats/accolades for a chance to be featured! We can’t guarantee a response to the email, but please know that we try to read all of them.

See you next time!

Jake
