You Need to Send this Email to College Coaches this Summer

Now that the regular season is wrapping up, it’s all about summer lacrosse.
College coaches will be on sidelines of tournaments all across the country, looking for their next recruits.
If you’re playing in summer tournaments and want to get recruited, you NEED to email college coaches. This accomplishes two things:
It shows you care about the school and automatically separates you from 95% of recruits that don’t email.
Makes a coach’s life easier, since they know exactly when and where you’re playing.
If you need some email inspiration, find a template we made at the bottom of the email.
Izzy Scane’s Postgame Press Conference is Everything
Boston College captured another national championship on Memorial Day, defeating Izzy Scane and Northwestern 14-13 in an epic comeback game.
After the game, Izzy gave one of the most inspirational postgame press conferences I’ve ever seen. One reporter asked her how she was feeling after the loss:
“Yeah I mean losing sucks…But most of my emotions are coming from an awesome experience at Northwestern. I’m just smiling because I’ve loved all the people I’ve met through the sport, through Northwestern…it’s hard to not smile, it’s been a great ride…”
Izzy could’ve been down on herself and the team after a crushing loss, but instead she chose to reframe the situation and celebrate the journey. This is an awesome reminder for all of us to be less focused on outcomes and more focused on the journey and the experience.
What an epic college lacrosse career for Izzy Scane - and she capped it off with a Tewaaraton win last night!
Featured Recruit: Alexia Portobanco (Highlight Reel)
The freshman from Virginia made a name for herself this spring, making Freedom High School’s varsity team and scoring 30 goals and 27 assists. She also had 45 draw controls and 22 ground balls, highlighting her versatility as an attacker/midfielder who can do it all.
Her head is always up when she dodges, scanning the field for open teammates who can cash in. If she can’t find a teammate, she uses her fast footwork to get past any defender and score on the run.
I’m super excited to see how her game continues to progress!
